Knowing how to choose the appropriate flower for your wedding
is important and below are a few tips.

1. Go with your favorites.  Choose the flower that means something to you, whether it is the flower your husband to be first gave you or one you have always loved.

2. Choose the flowers with your wedding colors.  The flower that most suits you will be a flower that fits your theme, and your wedding colors.  Whether the colors are purple and silver, or red and white you will need to find flowers that have those variations as well.

3. The style bouquet you wish to hold.  The bouquet will in part determine the flowers you choose.  If you are going for the elegant, formal bouquet you do not want a simple wildflower in the mix.

4. The flowers of your bridal party.  These flowers will differ from your own, but should still have meaning to your wedding.  These flowers should reflect the colors your party is wearing.

5. Tabletop displays.  These flowers should be fragrant, but not overwhelming.  You want it to add to the decorations of the place you have chosen for your reception.  They should be elegant like your wedding, but not overstated.

6. The groomsmen flowers.  The lotus is a great oriental wedding flower for the groomsmen to have.  It is simple, but elegant.  It also works for the bride’s hair if you desire.

7. Ask the groom about the flowers he might prefer.  The groom should be as involved as you are.  He might prefer a rose as a simple of his love to wear on your special day.

8. Know what type of displays.  You will probably want a few table pieces along with flower bouquets about the room.  Each bouquet should have a part of your personality.

9. Finding the flowers you want.  Internet, florist shops, wedding coordinators can all help you plan the flowers you most desire for your special day.

These tips along with the oriental flowers mentioned above will lend a great deal to anyone’s wedding whether it has an Asian motif or a more American style to the wedding.  Flowers are fragrant and should not overwhelm your guests.  They should add to the overall picture of your chosen place without taking away from you as the bride.

Remember the decorations are only to help increase the radiance of the bride and her groom.  A persons wedding is about them and the guests they ask to take part.  Oriental wedding flowers are just part of the set up in creating the perfect wedding.  The romance of a wedding comes in part from the flowers and decorations.  Weddings are to be celebrated to the fullest extent and are one of the most important days you will ever have.
