September Wedding Flowers – so much to choose from so little space.

September is a great time to pick out wedding flowers. There are lots of different types in bloom and it affords you the possibilities of picking from the late blooming summer along with the early fall blooming flowers.  There is always the question of why worry since with airplanes and greenhouses any flower can be had, any time of the year at a modest price. However, if you are on a budget it is a good idea to pay attention to the flowers that are blooming around the time of your wedding. The African Iris – this lovely Iris comes in several shades mainly white, blue and yellow. These can be an all year blooming plant in the right climate. Sun Flower – These flowers come in a variety of sizes from the large sunflowers you are used to seeing on the side of the road out in the country to slightly smaller varieties. They make wonderful additions to anyone’s September wedding flowers and really bring in the golden color of fall to any arrangements. Depending on how they are cut, they should be used in larger arrangements or centerpiece decorations. While they can be used as personal flowers for bouquets they are quite large and may detract from any other flowers you have in your bouquet

Veronica – Welcome to a plant that has over 500 species and is the largest Genus in its plant family. This plant will have a little something for just about everyone. It has small blue almost pansy like flowers and comes in everything from annuals and perennials to shrubs or even small trees. This makes the Veronica a perfect September wedding flower for just about any type of arrangement or decoration. It usually have several blossoms clinging to a single stem and the stems depending on the variety are quite small so be sure to choose a variety or set of varieties that work well with any arrangement you might have. 

September is a wonderful time to have a wedding and no better time for September wedding flowers. There are a wide number of flowers to choose from that bloom all year around, are available all year round or that bloom specifically in the late summer and early fall seasons. You truly have the advantage when picking September wedding flowers. Be willing to break away from the traditional pale colors and white that most weddings are done in and bring in the colors of the changing season to your wedding. Make it a memorable occasion by choosing September wedding flowers.
