The Sunflower: Perfect Announcement for Your Wedding

Weddings combine a multitude of tasks into one amazing day.  One of those tasks is to announce the wedding to all guests, with the time, date, and attire.  Choosing the wedding venue, the time and date, and the attire is as important as finding the perfect wedding invitation.  The wedding invitation will in part decide for the guest how formal the wedding will be.  The wedding invitation will also denote the theme or colors for your wedding.

Below are basic steps to choosing the correct wedding invitation.  First you will decide the theme, the colors, and the venue of the wedding.  Is the wedding to be a formal or informal affair?  The theme for this example will include sunflowers.  Sunflowers are a favorite flower of the bride.  She is also having an informal wedding.  Her colors are a soft yellow and orange.

When this bride looks for her wedding invitations she want to have an invitation with her colors.  She may have sunflowers as the focal point of the invitation or she might choose a simple sunflower on the envelope and invitation.  Most wedding invitations have the focal point at the top of the invitation, and the information below.  The invitation may have a top layer with a frame as a different color.  In the example the bride may have a wedding invitation with an orange background and a soft yellow top with the sunflower as the emblem.  This invitation may be a rectangle as most invitations are.

You might decide to add a little more creativity to your wedding invitation.  To add this creativity you might make your own invitations and envelopes in the shape of a sunflower.  Sunflower wedding invitations come in a variety of styles.  One place online sells sunflower invitations in a variety of colors with a flower emblem or the sunflower petals as the paper design.  Still another website will custom design your invitations.

Knowing the theme you would like for your invitations is half the decision.  Choosing where to obtain your invitations, the handwriting to use, and the style is just as important.  We have already spoken of style, this is the shape, the theme you want to denote to your guests.  We will go into a little more detail of how to find the perfect invitation after the handwriting.

Choosing the handwriting you want on your invitation is also important.  You will want an easy to read invitation without loosing the elegance of the writing.  Simplicity is not usually an option for wedding invitations, especially formal invitations.  Your invitation should have beautiful handwriting, such as calligraphy.  The style of writing adds to the formal or informal aspects of your wedding.  Do not lose your style by compromising on the writing.

There are many catalogs, online stores, or retail stores that carry wedding invitations.  Wedding invitations may be low on the list of financial priorities so find the place that will give a personalized style while remaining inexpensive is important.  You might find your perfect design in a store, but its just a little more than you can afford or wish to afford.

Searching for that same design on line is the next step.  Simply typing in your theme for the invitations such as sunflowers can net you several thousand websites.  Some of these sites have a less formal appeal and will be eliminated easily.  If you don’t find the perfect design online or in a catalog you might return to the store to find out how you can cut your costs without loosing your goal.  Often finding a relative with great handwriting is one way to save on an invitation especially if you don’t need too many.  Designing your own and finding a place to print the information is another way to cut your costs.

To review a little it is important to first determine other aspects of your wedding before choosing the invitations.  You will want to have an idea of formal or informal, the theme of your wedding, possibly the flowers you will have in order to chose the theme of your invitations, and your wedding colors.  The next avenue is finding the style you have chosen and determining the handwriting you wish to use.

Without using a cliché your wedding is one of the most important events in your life that you will remember and wish to pass on to your children.  The wedding invitations are a small part of your wedding, but important in getting all of your guests there on time, and in the correct attire.  Your wedding invitation is your guest’s message to the theme, the colors, and the date, time, and place of the wedding.  It is also your guide to the guest list.  This is your wedding and having the right invitation is one key to making is successful.
