Lavish Leaves and your Autumn Wedding Themes

It is no fairytale having lavish leaves of all shapes and colors raining down around you on your wedding day. It sounds like a fairytale, but if you are planning on having an autumn wedding theme, it does not have to be one. There are a number of colors to choose from to go with your theme, and you can either decide to choose three of them or include all of them. The choice of colors is: wine, gold, burgundy, deep red, yellow-green, orange-yellow, rusts, mustard yellow and burnt orange.

With winter around the corner, the autumn days are getting cooler and the nights are getting shorter. With this, wearing something light enough for any warm autumn day, but at the same time, something warm enough for the inevitably cool evening approaching. If you decide on the attire for yourself or for your bridesmaids, strapless gowns will do fine, but also include wraps or capes to wear over the shoulders later the evening and matching stoles.

Finding the right location for your autumn wedding theme, all depends on where about you live. Autumn is the time of lively colors. For those lucky enough to experience autumn and the rain of leaves, you might want to consider having your wedding amongst the trees.  The perfect places that will best suite your unforgettable day would be: a nearby park, a rustic farm, a vineyard, a country inn, or an apple orchid. Whether or not you live in a location, or know of one with fiery falling colors, creating an autumn wedding ceremony indoors can have a spectacular result. All you need is to have are appropriate decorations and colored accents, and bringing the outdoors indoors can be as easy as that.

Making the wedding invitations can be done by you and your partner. Apart from all the wedding kits available on the markets, all you will need is robust stock paper in a cream color. Motif rubber stamps, and because you are going with the autumn theme, leaf rubber motif stamps and inks that favor autumn colors and stamp the paper’s background. Using off-white vellum paper, print out the invitation and then cut it so that the measurements are at least 1/2" to 1” smaller than the invitation you stamped earlier. Secure this using a glue stick.

If you are decorating you want to keep with the leave theme. The reception and ceremony locations can be decorated with beautiful and colorful autumn leaves. Pew markers can be decorated with small, grapevine garlands. The garland can be lightly wrapped with sheer organza ribbons. An organza bow can then be attached to the lower side of the garland. To end it off you can glue leaves made of fabric to cover the spaces between the ribbons along the garland.

Next you could fill autumn colored balloons with Helium and make bouquets. These bouquets can be placed throughout the reception area: near the main tables, in the corners of the room and at the doorway entrances. Crepe paper streamers can also be draped in front of the main reception table. The streamers can be secured with an autumn leaf garland or ribbon bow. For a wonderful contrast, cream tablecloths with a deep red or rust topper will be perfect.

For table decorations and the centerpieces, try creating leaf candles for a simple centerpiece. Pillar candles having the autumn colors will also be a great idea. Woven baskets with a pretty orange-red or rust ribbon can be filled with autumn leaves. Another touch and not anywhere near extravagant will be leaf confetti sprinkled on the tables.

Guests can be served melt-in-your-mouth maple sugar candy … wrapped in a maple leaf will add to your creativity. An alternative is to wrap autumn ribbons around bottles of maple syrup. If you want another idea, try purchasing or making leaf-shaped soap and then nestle them in rusty leaves in clear plastic containers, just big enough to fit the soap. As the chilly weather takes over, hot chocolate will be the perfect warm-you-up gift.

Purchase small packaged coffees and just add your custom-made autumn leaf sticker on the front and hand them out. Autumn wine leafs will compliment those wine glasses in no time if they look a little naked standing there. Another wedding favor would be mints. Purchase tins of mints and decorate the cover with your own autumn leaf sticker.

Your wedding cake must be attractive. Having yours iced in a cream fondant with colored leaves decorating the sides will be more than attractive. You could also go with the unique look of creating a cake to look like an autumn leaves basket. Apart from these ideas, you probably have some of your own ideas and are sure to find the absolute wedding cake to match your autumn wedding theme.
