Make it Unique
with a Beach Wedding Theme
If
you want to be unique and cut away from traditional wedding themes,
relax your mind and settle with a beach wedding theme. Everybody dreams
of getting married to the one most precious and closest to them. Your love
for each other is unique, so there should be no reason why you should not
make your wedding day unique. Deciding on a beach wedding you want it to
be different, and at the same time, you want it to say something as to
who you are as a couple. Whenever you tie the knot, be sure to take a few
ideas from here for a theme to add to Romeo and Juliet’s unforgettable
day. With turquoise blue waters lapping the beach what would complete the
picture more? Maybe try adding an ocean theme to your wedding. Here are
a few suggestions that could help you:
Turquoise
tulle can be added to your head table and your bridal arch will look so
beautiful if decorated with ocean-colored ribbons. You could even offer
the guests ocean flavors or ocean inspired flavors wrapped in light blue
tulle. Tables could be decorated with large glass bowls – crystal if you
have them – with sea water and a little sea water arrangements inside them.
Invitations and thank you card with fish inspired logos would be sure to
give your guests an idea of your theme. A nautical touch using a few ropes
will be excellent to make candle arrangements and also make outstanding
centerpieces.
If your
beach wedding theme includes tropical foliage, this can provide a colorful
and opulent background to your wedding. Decorating arches and the head
table, Bougainvillea will match the backdrop perfectly. Purchase a few
dozen of tropical flowers from the florist and design your own arrangements
in vases and these can be weighted with the sand beneath your feet. Another
superb idea and would be an excellent match will be incorporating palm
leaves in your décor. What would be a perfect getaway for the older
and mature gentlemen will be a hut that could be used as a bar.
To keep
the theme going after the ceremony and you both now share the same last
name, have servants go around offering tropical drinks. A great idea would
be serving tropical and exotic fruits from desert baskets. Everybody has
been waiting for the wedding cake to be cut. A fruit wedding cake or a
tropical fruit cake will be sure to have everybody nodding their heads.
You obviously have not forgotten anything. Grouper, Lobster and Conch salad
are just a typical beach meal. It will be well-deserved if included on
the menu.
The beach
is an excellent provider of a beach wedding theme and offers you a million
of great ideas. You basically just have to use your imagination and stand
back and look at the finished result. The aisle can be set out with Conch
shells in the sand. If you are planning on having an evening reception,
little lights to light pathways will make sure that everybody can see you
and nobody is going is trip over the person next to them. What would make
excellent beach wedding invitations will be invites in shells, scrolled
invites, or my favorite, message in the bottle invitations. An ice sculpture
in the shape of a fish, dolphin or even a shell as the centerpiece on the
buffet table and surrounded by salad or sea food will be parfait.
If you
are looking into having a beach wedding theme with an addition of the tropical
kingdom and the animals that live there, this can provide you with an eco
sensitive slope: on all your wedding stationary, using animal logos such
as dolphins, parrots and iguanas will do it just perfectly. Also consider
having landmarks such as dormant volcanoes or jungles as backgrounds at
your beach wedding to compliment its theme. Steel drum bands, Soca, Reggae
and Calypso are some of the type of music that involves the Caribbean and
most beach themes, depending on your location.
The bride
wants to wear something light and airy if you are deciding on this theme.
If you are not worried about being unoriginal, a long flowing sun dress
and large flower in your hair or a brimmed sun hat will be sure to make
you the center of attention, apart from already being it.
For the
groom, casual will probably be better. White or beige sports pants and
matching sports jacket will suite you nicely and it won’t leave you shouting
out in the crowd. A beach type tie will compliment and complete your attire.
For the
bridesmaids, a mid-calf or long sun dress and added chiffon scarves can
be used to tie back long hair. Instead of the scarves a wide-brimmed sun
hat will do the job perfectly. You can decide if the dresses are to have
a colorful pattern or colors to fit the color scheme of the wedding. |
