Paradise
Dream Tropical Wedding
You
have met the man of your dreams and he has popped the question,
you have decided that the ultimate wedding for you is a tropical style
wedding and this will give you a taste of paradise. There are a great many
locations you can choose from the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Cayman Islands.
You have decided to go for a less usual place. You love Egypt, so the natural
choice is a truly romantic wedding on the banks of the Nile looking over
to the Valley of the Kings.
You choose a beautiful hotel
that is full of marble pillars and tropical plants cool in the heat of
the day. A nice relaxing place for your wedding party. You can easily get
everything you could possibly need, small Egyptian ornaments as wedding
favours, inside small pyramid shaped boxes, personalised if you wanted.
Or perhaps your individual guests name written on papyrus and giving the
meaning of their name as well, what a delight to keep. Then again you could
give each guest a small silver Egyptian charm. As a great way to remember
you’re your Paradise Wedding.
You can wear something that
floats and is stunning off the shoulder, or perhaps try the traditional
dress of the Queen of Egypt Cleopatra; The Queen of the Nile and the groom
could be a Pharaoh. Or a Roman Centurion, or even an Emperor. Your
bridesmaids can be your royal serving girls, in floaty chiffon, and an
array of colours. A truly dreamy tropical wedding. Your invitations could
have Hieroglyphics all around them; they could be made on papyrus for a
truly authentic feel. Your guests could also join in the theme of your
tropical wedding by being in dress as well.
Flowers could be tropical, or
you could carry a sceptre with a few trailing ribbons. You could let of
a basket of doves as the vows are finished to celebrate your union.
Jewellery should be truly stunning and Egypt offers a wealth of semi precious
stones the main favourite being lapis lazuli the beautiful blue stone would
stand out beautifully over your chosen gown and dripping from your ears.
You look like a queen and for your special day that is exactly what you
are.
You drive from the hotel to
your ceremony in a traditional horse and carriage that you could get the
driver to put ribbons in his horses mane and tail. The carriage also could
be decorated with ribbons and even flowers in your chosen colour, driving
through Luxor to your destiny on the banks of the Nile like so many royals
through out the centuries. Although the people will not kneel, they will
stare in awe at the vision you have created to make this a true wedding
in paradise, the most glamorous tropical wedding and it’s all yours. This
day will live with you forever.
Under a cool white canopy guarded
by statues of Nubian slaves, with tropical flower garlands trailing round
the supports, the Nile flowing slowly down to Thebes, The warm perfumed
air causing a gentle breeze. Your Egyptian headdress glistening in the
warm sunshine. Your groom thinks he has just stepped into a paradise dream
the vision in white and gold glistening in the hot sun, walking towards
him with her female servants attending her. Vivid colours, heady perfume
and the scene is set for a truly memorable wedding. The man of your dreams
stood by your side your prince, your new husband, the scene is breathtaking.
A Pharaohs palace recreated
just for you, the table spread with opulence, gems scattered here and there,
the cake the most captivating centrepiece could be the pyramid or the marble
columns from the temple of Karnack each supporting a tier. Where each corner
is supported by a single Sphinx, and the queen and king of Egypt topping
it off. Or perhaps topped with a tropical oasis and the statues of the
king and queen stood under the shelter given by the palms giving a little
coolness to the heat of the sun.
A chocolate fountain cascading
down to represent the flowing waters of the Nile and new life. Traditional
belly dancers, offering entertainment. in amazing veils and colours, gold
and silver coins jingling as they dance. Tall candle stands with colourful
flowers trailing round add a touch of authenticity to your dream wedding.
You could also offer your guests Karkaday, a clear, bright red, native
drink especially made like a tea but without milk it can be drunk hot or
cold and is a refreshing drink at anytime but it will give the authentic
Egyptian feel. Also it is said to calm nerves so a couple of glasses to
start your day may help. Food is something to be savoured in Egypt using
mostly fresh fruit and vegetables not only are they healthy they are full
of colour. A wonderful end to your tropical wedding day. |
