The Winter Wonderland Wedding 

A beautiful setting for a winter wedding would be in an old church that you can decorate your self one that is in a secluded area would be good. The bride should arrive in a horse driven coach pulled by white horses decorated with silver and white ribbons, wearing a long plain gown with white imitation fur trim is a nice start to creating your wonderland look add to this some gold and silver beads down the side and you have the dress that would make snow white weep, you should get some gold or silver shoes and instead of having a bouquet you should have a nice white muff.

For the bridesmaids and the maid of honour a long white gown and a straight cloak with silver fur trim, for the bridesmaids and you can have the same for the maid of honour just make the cloak have a gold trim.

The groom’s suit could be a nice white velvet tuxedo combined with a gold vest or a silver waistcoat with a silver bowtie, the groom’s best man could also wear a white tux with silver bowtie to co match with the groom.

Planning your invitations is a nice pass time you could have a cool winter feel i.e. white cards with snowflakes and use gold writing so that it stands out or light colour card with italic words any one would fit in well with a winter wedding.

The decorating of the church could be done by getting some silver and gold balloons and tie-in them to the seats, sprinkle some sparkly confetti down the isle and getting some bunches of flowers sprayed with silver glitter and tied with gold bows with hanging tassels. The church will set your special day and tell the fairy tale of your wedding for years to come.

Back at the reception the head table should have a long white tablecloth and for the centrepiece you could use a clear bowl with gold ribbon around it with the inside of the bowl you can get white Christmas balls and gently spray them with glitter. Have silver and gold snowflakes over the tables, get some plane white helium balloons with gold streamers spray some of them with silver glitter and mix and match them, tie them to the back of the chairs. 

Get hold of some tall twigs and paint them white put them in to baskets that are also white with silver bows around them and have sparkle lights hung amongst the branches. A really nice touch but quite a pricey one would be to have a big ice sculpture in the centre of the head table this makes a nice attraction and looks spectacular. 

For the wedding cake you could have a theme cake or an effective simple one this could be a 4 tier cake with artificial flowers around it in silver gold and white with a wonderland bride and groom on the top of the cake or a theme cake that shows a story i.e. have the cake tiered up and have a log cabin on top or a slay with the bride and groom inside it. No matter what kind of cake you like you should try to match it up with the colours of your theme. 

The gift table is recommended that you set it up in a nice and plain style as there will be a lot of colour on the table and you don’t want to over do it a few balloons should do nicely.

Some wedding flowers and bouquet Ideas for your bouquet a long stem red rose with gold strips hanging down from it or an all white bouquet with gold or silver ribbon, you could use a nice decorated candle with gold flowers and red and white ribbons this would also look a nice touch for your winter wedding.

For the wedding favours you could get some silver and gold cloth and sow them up leaving a hole open at one end insert some ribbon around the top and fill it full of potpourri and tie the ribbon in to a bow, or get some candles with your names stuck on them and the date of the wedding this makes a nice little keepsake.  Make small snowmen and fill them with sweets or chocolates this would be a great item to have and really fit in with the winter theme.

Other touches you could have is a band that is dressed up in white with top hats, you could have the dance floor decorated with snow flakes, for your first dance you could have something like last Christmas as this would make the fill of all your hard work. Or Secret Kingdom, from slipper and the rose. You can have any song you wish these are some that would tie in with the theme and make your dreams come true. You will feel like Cinderella at the ball and the groom will be your prince there is nothing more romantic than this type of theme it adds that little extra to your special day and the memories you will have will last forever.
